Relying on God in Conducting Property Business

The reclamation project of Pluit City in Jakarta Bay has recently become a trending topic. This project, located in the northern coast of Jakarta, has been the subject of debate for quite some time—with fishermen and environmentalists as the most opposing parties. As cited from kompas.com, the polemic began circulating as a subject of controversy ever since the President Director of PT. Agung Podomoro Land Tbk, Ariesman Widjaja, was appointed suspect in an alleged corruption case by the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK).

This is not the first time we hear of violations of law in property business. The big amount of profit that can be reaped from this business often leads to its actors being involved in small problems to bigger problems like corruption case as elaborated above. But this does not mean that every property business actor commits such deed. Many of them start their business from scraps and cultivate it with faith and obedience to God. Among them is Grace, a real-estate agent from Bandung, who came to CBN Counseling Center for prayer support in doing her business.
Good Afternoon Sir/Ma’am. I am grace, a property agent from Bandung. Praise the Lord, several months ago I had asked for prayer support so that I could achieve a target sale for apartment and my prayer has been answered. This is something that I will never forget.” +62821291XXXX

Just like Grace, another woman, Evi also asked for prayer support in regard to renting her mother’s property. This viewer of Solusi from Tangerang recounted that her mother had a shop property (ruko) for rent, but though a lot of people had been checking it for about a year, a deal was never made. Evi was really anxious, as it was her mother’s primary source of income. She really hoped that someone would soon rent it.

On Sunday, January 24 2016, Evi suddenly remembered about the contact number of CBN Counseling Center that she wrote down after watching Solusi. When her phone call was picked up by a counselor, Evi immediately confessed her troubles. She was then guided in prayer to always rely on God and only God. She was reminded that everything is under His control, and everything will certainly get better in time. Evi admits that her strength and faith were then renewed by the guidance of the counselor.

Not even a month later, Evi once again contacted CBN Counseling Center. She told the counselor that someone was about to rent the space starting from February 1st, 2016. Right when her mother was in financial difficulties, God sent the right person in the right time. Her mother sent her gratitude and thanks through Evi for the counseling center. Evi also noted that she and her mother will always keep on relying on God in their lives.

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.” (Jeremiah 17:7). What about you? Have you lived your life in accordance to this verse, just like Grace and Evi? If not, worry not, as the Bible says through Proverb 24:16, “for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.” So never give up, keep on relying on God, because He always has a great plan for your life.
